Learning Links provide staffing ratios considerably above Ministry of Education requirements in order to provide quality care for your loved onee. Our preschool curriculum follows the New Zealand national curriculum “TeWhariki”

*$5 meal cost per day for children receiving 20ECE Hours.

8.30am – 12.30pm = $30 per session
12.30pm – 4.30pm = $30 per session

Enrolment Conditions

Our fees include high quality teacher ratios above Ministry of Education Standards; Minimum enrolment is three days per week; A deposit equal to one week of your booked hours will be due upon enrolment to confirm your place; Two weeks’ notice is required when terminating enrolment; 10% discount is applicable to your eldest child’s fees if you have two or more children attending Learning Links; Nappies and food are provided; and Formula is not provided – this must be brought in from home if required. We have skilled and experienced teachers use the Te Whāriki curriculum of New Zealand to emphasize play-based learning, emotional health, and boosting kids’ self-esteem. We provide a tailored early learning experience with a higher teacher-to-child ratio than the Ministry of Education minimum requirements.

The centre enrols children from 6 months to age 5 years old. Our rooms are organised as Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool groups, each with its own age-appropriate programme.

Babies 1:4, Toddlers 1:6, and Preschool 1:8 – all above the Ministry of Education’s minimum ratio requirements.

A minimum enrolment of three days per week is required and age should be 6 months old.

Yes, but only in the Infants Room – sessional bookings are available for $30 per session (8:30am–12:30pm or 12:30pm–4:30pm).

Yes. Learning Links Childcare operates several centres, including Hector Drive (Hamilton), Borman Road (Hamilton), Alexandra Street (Te Awamutu), Rewi Street Nursery (Te Awamutu), Horowhenua (Levin), and Palmerston (Otago).

Nutritious daily meals (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea) and nappies are provided by centre. Formula and bottles (if required) must be brought from home.

Yes. Our infant programme provides nurturing care, secure relationships and age-appropriate learning experiences with a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio, helping babies feel safe while developing at their own pace.

Yes. Families receive regular updates through Storypark, allowing parents and extended family members to view learning stories, photos and developmental progress.

Yes. Children enjoy spacious outdoor environments featuring natural play spaces, physical challenges and opportunities to explore nature safely every day where weather permits.

Yes. Our preschool programme develops literacy, numeracy, social confidence, communication and independence, helping children transition successfully into primary school.

Yes. Learning Links accepts 20 Hours ECE funding for eligible children and supports families accessing applicable government childcare assistance.

Minimum Commitment: 3 days per week

Under 3 Years Old:
Full Time (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM): $66/day or $300/week (full 5 days).
Part Time / Sessions (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM): $30 per sessional block (Infants room only).

Over 3 Years Old (with 20 Hours ECE subsidies):
Full Time (Weekly 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM): $214/week (or $44/day).
Part Time (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, 3 days): FREE (subject to a $5/day meal fee for receiving 20 ECE hours).
Part Time (4 days): $62/week.
Part Time (Weekly/5 days): $108/week.

Yes. The centre says a 10% discount applies to the eldest child’s fees if two or more children attend Learning Links.
